Welcome!

My name is Amber McCoy and I am a first year student at Columbus State Community College at both the Main and the Delaware campus. I plan on majoring in Chemistry and taking the pre-medicine route and minoring in Spanish at The Ohio State University after I have completed one year at Columbus State. My goal is to become a general pediatrician and possibly specialize in a certain area of that field, such a neurology or cardiology. My dream is to one day live in a Spanish-speaking country to do missions work as a doctor and to work in an area where pediatricians are most needed.

I graduated from Worthington Christian High School in 2013 and was a cheerleader for basketball all four years of high school. I cheered on Varsity my junior and senior years and enjoyed it very much. I was involved with choir all four years and was elected president for the women's choir. Music is a big part of my life, which is why I have played the piano since I was about seven years old. I like to play old hymns and classical music by Mozart and and Beethoven. I love watching and playing soccer. Sports are and always will be a big part of my life, especially football, basketball, and baseball. I enjoy running and working out because it helps to relieve stress and it is, well, good for you! I have a heart for reading books as well. Any book sparks my interest. Family and friends are very important to me. I have a younger sister and brother and my life would not be the same without them.

This blog is meant to publish and post my papers for my English 1100 class at Columbus State. Feel free to read my papers and give me helpful feedback! I am not the strongest English student since my brain is more math and science oriented, but I try my best to write my papers like an English major would.

I hope this blog sparks your interest and enjoy my writings!
